Linkedin Placements launched to help students

The world's largest professional network, Linkedin, launched Linkedin Placements on Wednesday, aimed at making graduating students across India easily find their first job.

"Our conversations with students, placement officers and recruiters involved in campus recruitment point to an unmet need for efficiency and effectiveness," said Ganesan Venakatasubramanian, head, engineering, Linkedin India in a statement on launching the solution.

Developed locally by more than 40 Linkedin employees, Linkedin Placements enables students to apply for jobs from anywhere and anytime and stay informed.

The professional network is piloting Linkedin Placements first in India.
