As many as 3.30 lakh people have been disbursed loans totaling 1.25 lakh crores under the Pradhan Mantri Mudra yojana, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said here on Sunday.
"3.30 lakh people have got loans under this scheme. Rs.1.25 lakh crore have been disbursed," Modi said while addressing an election rally in this town of West Midnapore district.
The PM Mudra Yojana under the Micro Units Development and Refinance Agency (MUDRA) Bank was launched last year for development and refinancing activities relating to micro units.
The scheme was announced by Finance Minister Arun Jaitley in his budget for 2015-16.
