Andhra Pradesh is facing political uncertainty and most parts of the state are in turmoil for more than two months over the decision to bifurcate the state but this has not prevented Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy from inducting luxury SUVs in his cavalcade.
Though facing an uncertain future, the chief minister has gone for two Toyota Land Cruiser Prados. These dazzling SUVs have been added to the convoy of six Toyota Fortuner-500 purchased in 2011.
The chief minister Tuesday came to the secretariat in these new bullet proof vehicles, which were purchased on the occasion of Dussehra.
Though Land Cruiser Prado in Hyderabad is priced nearly Rs.87 lakh, each vehicle is not estimated to have cost less than Rs.1 crore with the modifications to make it bullet-proof.
It was only in July 2011 that Kiran Kumar Reddy had replaced six Scorpios with Fortuner-500s.
