Macedonia edged Wales 2-1 to win its second game in the European Zone Group A FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
Macedonia earned its seventh point in the group thanks to the 80th-minute goal by substitute Aleksandar Trajkovski Friday. The home team took the lead in the 19th minute when a free kick bounced to forward Ivan Trickovski, who had an easy job to score from close range, reports Xinhua.
However at the end of the first half, Trickovski undid his previous good work when he harshly brought down Aaron Ramsey in the penalty area. Ramsey equalised after a routine score from penalty kick in the 37th minute.
Belgium leads Group A with 19 points before Croatia (16) and Serbia (7), all playing coming Friday. Macedonia is in fourth with seven ahead of Wales (6) and Scotland (5).
