Fern Buchner, who mostly worked as a make-up artist on Oscar-winning filmmaker Woody Allen movies, including "Annie Hall", died at the age of 87, said her friend Diane Salzberg.

Buchner, whose credits also include Oliver Stone's "Wall Street" (1987), Tim Burton's "Edward Scissorhands" (1990) and Jon Avnet's "Fried Green Tomatoes" (1991), died on September 23 in Henderson, Nevada, Salzberg told hollywoodreporter.com.

Buchner was nominated for BAFTA Awards for her work on Allen's "Zelig" (1983) and on the "Addams Family" films released in 1991 and 1993.

She started out with Allen on "Annie Hall" (1977) and continued with him on movies like "Interiors" (1978), "Manhattan" (1979), "Stardust Memories" (1980), "A Midsummer Night's Sex Comedy" (1982), "Broadway Danny Rose" (1984), "The Purple Rose of Cairo" (1985), "Hannah and Her Sisters" (1986), "Another Woman" (1988), "Crimes and Misdemeanors" (1989), "Alice" (1990) and "Everyone Says I Love You" (1996).

Buchner also was the make-up artist on Paul Mazursky's "Scenes From a Mall" (1991), which starred Allen and Bette Midler.

"Woody Allen himself was not the easiest person for a make-up artist to work with," Dave Miller, Buchner's life partner for the past 19 years, said.

"He didn't like a lot of make-up anyway, and Fern told me they had to almost tie his hands down so that she could do his make-up. But they had a great relationship."

In addition to Miller, survivors also include her sons Barry, Alan and Scott.
