Mamata hopes Sundar Pichai visits IIT Kharagpur
Describing Sundar Pichai as an inspiration, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday hoped Google core business' new CEO would soon visit his alma mater - IIT Kharagpur.
"Congratulations @sundarpichai. You are an inspiration. Doubly proud that you studied at IIT Kharagpur. Wish you visit your old college soon," tweeted Banerjee.
Pichai studied metallurgical and materials engineering at the premier institute before heading the US in 1993.
The institute has opened a page on Facebook to congratulate its illustrious alumnus.
