Defending champion Manchester City thrashed host West Ham United 3-0 at London Stadium to stay undefeated in the Premier League and hold on to the first place.
Midfielder David Silva, a former Spanish international, gave the Citizens an early 1-0 lead just 11 minutes into the game on Saturday night, reports Efe news.
Leroy Sane then assisted on a goal by Raheem Sterling in the 19th minute before the English winger returned the favour and set up a score by the German forward in the 34th minute as Manchester City stretched its lead to 3-0.
Manchester City remains in first place after the win with 35 points, while West Ham is in 13th place with 12 points.
Second-placed Liverpool, meanwhile, kept the pressure on the Sky Blues with a hard-fought 3-0 away win over Watford at Vicarage Road.
Elsewhere in English football, Everton topped Cardiff City 1-0 at Goodison Park, while Brighton & Hove Albion played to a 1-1 draw with 10-man Leicester City at Amex Stadium.
