Rome, April 25 (IANS/AKI) A labourer was arrested in Italy's southern province of Taranto after he wounded his elderly father with an axe.
Aided by his other son, the father managed to wrest the axe from 43-year-old Cosimo Vozza while a neighbour called police.
The attack took place in Sava town.
The old man sustained cuts to his wrists in the attack, during which his wife was also assaulted.
The labourer, who has a criminal record, faces charges of assault and domestic violence.
