Man held in Italy for exploiting prostitute

Naples, May 24 (IANS/AKI) A man was arrested in the southern Italian city of Naples on suspicion that he was "exploiting" a Romanian prostitute on the pretext of regularly driving her to work.

In exchange for the lift to the eastern Poggioreale district, the 28-year-old Romanian woman allegedly had to pay the man a "fare" of 20 euros and also have sex with him, police said.

The 30-year-old man was previously known to police.
