A 45-year-old man was Wednesday detained after he failed to give a proper reason for loitering around the Israel embassy in the national capital's high security area, police said.
The man from Haryana was spotted outside the embassy around noon. When security personnel asked his about his purpose, he started running.
The security personnel caught the man and immediately called up police and handed him over to them.
"We have questioned him along with intelligence officials. But he did not reveal the reason for his visit," a police officer said.
