Man jumps onto Delhi metro track, dies

A 35-year-old unidentified man committed suicide by jumping onto a Delhi Metro rail track here on Friday evening, police said.

The incident was reported from east Delhi's Karkardooma metro station at 5.22 p.m.

Police said the man jumped onto the track from the platform of the metro station.

"He was hit by a Blue Line Metro train moving towards Vaishali from Dwarka," a police official said.

The official said the man's body was severed into two parts in the incident.
