A villager on Friday attacked his son and a daughter with an axe in Balaghat district of Madhya Pradesh, killing the boy, police said. He later hanged himself.
Police said Rajendra Patel of Kesa village hit his physically-challenged and speech-impaired son Sumit and daughter Payal. While the son died, the daughter was seriously injured. She is admitted in Balaghat district hospital.
Kirnapur station house officer Naseer Farooqi said Rajendra was employed with the state forest department.
