Rome, May 9 (IANS/AKI) Police in a Naples suburb in Italy on Monday placed a 43-year-old man under house arrest for allegedly terrorising his estranged wife, including by threatening to kill her.
The 36-year-old woman rarely left her apartment and had reported her husband to police for stalking after they separated in May last year, said investigators.
The man had followed his wife and spied on her, repeatedly demanded they meet, insulted her and issued her with death threats over the phone, according to the investigators.
