Manchester City created an English Premier league (EPL) record with 15 straight victories after defeating Swansea City.
A brace from David Silva (27th minute, 52nd) along with goals from Kevin De Bruyne (34th) and Sergio Aguero (85th) helped the EPL table toppers thump Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium on Wednesday.
After 17 matches in the EPL, Manchester City lead the table with 49 points, 11 ahead of Manchester United who have 38.
"Pep Guardiola's side had equalled Arsenal's EPL record of 14 straight successes on Sunday after outclassing local rivals Manchester United at Old Trafford," goal.com reports.
"In beating United, they became the first team to win 14 consecutive Premier League games in a single season, with Arsenal's achievement spanning the 2001-02 and 2002-03 campaigns."
Manchester City will next clash against Tottenham in the EPL on Saturday.
