A 20-year-old Manipuri student was robbed by four men, who were later arrested, when he went to buy a recharge coupon for his mobile phone, police said Monday.
The incident took place in Nizamuddin area in south Delhi Sunday evening when Vasomo Phong Sore, a first year student of Delhi University, went to a church with his sister.
After dropping his sister at the church he went to buy a recharge coupon.
While he was riding his motorcycle four men stopped him near the Hazrat Nizamuddin Dargah, police said.
The four snatched his mobile phone and Rs.400 in cash and fled the scene. The victim called the police and reported the incident.
A police team was immediately formed to nab the accused. On the basis of Sore's description of the attackers, the team managed to catch them and recover the money and phone.
Nadeem, Safiq, Alladdin and Wasim were arrested within four hours, police said.
