Many countries interested in smart cities: Naidu

Many countries have shown interest in developing 100 smart cities in India, union Urban Development Minister M. Venkaiah Naidu said here Friday.

"We have queries from Japan, Singapore, Sweden, Australia, Germany and the US. Lot of countries are evincing interest (about smart cities)," he said.

He was talking at the Conclave of Ministers of States and Union Territories on smart cities.

Naidu sought suggestion of representatives from the various state governments that will be incorporated in the draft for creating smart cities.
