A benchmark index of the Indian equities markets on Tuesday was trading 21.44 points or 0.08 percent up during the afternoon session.
The wider 50-scrip Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) was also up by 6.10 points or 0.08 percent at 7,812.70 points.
The 30-scrip Sensitive Index (Sensex) of the S&P Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), which opened at 25,897.88 points, was trading at 25,781.54 points (at 12.15 p.m.) in the afternoon session, up 21.44 points or 0.08 percent from the previous day's close at 25,760.10 points.
The Sensex touched a high of 25,917.01 points and a low of 25,754.29 points in the trade so far.
The indices opened higher in the morning session in line with a rally in the US and a surge in Asian stocks, but sentiments remained cautious on the back of some not-too-encouraging news on factory output growth, inflation and exports.
