Comilla Victorians captain Mashrafe Bin Mortaza will play against Dhaka Dynamites in the opening cricket match of Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) despite his injury.
Mashrafe sustained an ankle injury during his team's training on Friday. He skipped practice on Saturday but worked out in the gym with tape rolled around his feet, bdnews24.com.
"There is still a slight pain but I can play with that. It is important for the captain to be on the field in the first match," the strapping pacer toldbdnews24.com over the phone.
"I will definitely play if nothing new develops."
