Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday released a postal stamp on 'Ramayana' during his visit to historic Tulsi Manas temple here, an official statement said.
Releasing the stamp in the precincts of the Tulsi Manas Temple, he said: "Stamps have a special place in society. They are a wonderful way to preserve our history."
Modi also stressed how the life and ideals of Lord Rama continue to inspire everyone, according to the statement.
The Prime Minister, who is on two-day visit to Varanasi, his parliamentary constituency, later visited the Durga Mata Temple and Durga Kund.
