MP Congress MLA Prem Singh dies at 67

Congress legislator from Madhya Pradesh Prem Singh died on Monday at a private hospital here following prolonged illness. He was 67.

Singh was elected legislator from the Chitrakoot constituency on three occasions in 1998, 2003 and 2013. He also played a major role in the government when the Congress was in power, party workers said.

State Congress chief Arun Yadav said Singh's death was a major loss to the party as he was a popular leader among the people.

Leader of Opposition Ajay Singh also expressed sorrow and condoled Singh's death.
