The national capital saw a muggy Wednesday with the maximum temperature recorded at 36.5 degrees Celsius, three notches above the season's average and the humidity at an 89 percent high. The Met office has forecast a cloudy Thursday.
"Thursday is likely to be cloudy," said an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
The maximum and the minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 37 degrees and 26 degrees Celsius respectively.
The minimum temperature Wednesday settled down at 26.6 degrees Celsius, average for the season.
Tuesday's maximum temperature was recorded at 34.9 degrees Celsius, a notch above the season's average, while the minimum was a notch below the season's average at 25.8 degrees Celsius.
