Mysuru will host the 66th National Basketball Championship for men and women from January 9 to 16.
The Chamundi Vihar Stadium Complex, with its two indoor and one outdoor court, will hold the tournament. The Karnataka State Basketball Association will organise the event under the aegis of Basketball Federation of India (BFI).
The Karnataka city will be hosting the event after a gap of nearly 30 years with the last one held in 1987.
Over 140 matches will be played in the league-cum-knockout event. As many as 29 men's and 24 women's teams have confirmed their participation.
The 2014-15 edition was held in Bhilwara, Rajasthan, with Chhattisgarh women and Uttarakhand men being crowned champions.
