The central government's interlocutor for the Naga peace talks R.N. Ravi is expected to visit Nagaland soon to take ahead the final accord and is likely to meet leaders of other factions of the NSCN, including NSCN-Khole-Kitovi, a source close to the entire peace process has said.

"R.N. Ravi will soon be travelling to Nagaland. He is likely to meet the other factions of the NSCN. This is part of the government's efforts to convince other factions, including NSCN-Khole-Kitovi, apart from the NSCN-IM, to join the peace process," the source said.

According to the source, the peace accord signed between the central government and the National Socialist Council of Nagaland-Isak-Muivah (NSCN-IM) on August 3 was a wider framework under which efforts were on to bring all factions of the NSCN onboard.

At a press conference on Sunday, Nagaland Chief Minister T.R. Zeliang said a delegation of 16 members from the Naga Hoho, the apex body of all Naga tribes, and the Eastern Nagaland Peoples' Organisation (ENPO) have got security clearance to visit Myanmar and hold talks with NSCN-K chief S.S. Khaplang.

The NSCN-K had abrogated its 15-year-old ceasefire with the government in March this year and carried out two attacks on the Indian Army in Nagaland and Manipur.

The historic Naga accord promises to bring peace in the northeastern state ravaged by violence for over six decades.
