Namibian Julius 'Blue Machine' Indongo moved up to second in the world boxing ranking after knocking out former IBF world champion Eduard Tryoyanovsky of Russia in 40 seconds in the first round of a scheduled 12-round bout in Russia.

Indongo is currently ranked fourth by the World Boxing Organization (WBO), and this was his first shot at a world title, reported Xinhua.

During a press conference here on Monday, promoter and manager Nestor Tobias said following Indongo's win, the Namibian has moved up the ladder, clinching both the International Boxing Federation (IBF) and International Boxing Organisation (IBO) titles.

Tobias said their boxing camp has made a plan for the fight and his fighter was oozing with confidence before the fight.

"We produced a unified champion this year. This is the highest achievement the country's boxing fraternity has reached and we can safely say we have the factory to produce world champions," he added.

Before the fight, Indongo had an unblemished record of 20 wins out of 20 fights, including 10 knock-outs.

Indongo said in an interview that when he entered the ring he was focused.

"The punches I threw were calculated and when I landed the snap punch, I knew I had got him."
