A 21-year-old national level boxer was arrested from Gurgaon, Haryana, bordering the national capital, along with his cousin for a carjacking case, police said Wednesday.
Sumit Dahiya, the boxer, along with his cousin Aman, 20, was arrested from Hotel Primero in Gurgaon during a raid in the intervening night of July 23-24 by the Crime Branch of Delhi Police.
Police raided locations in Palam and Gurgaon as they were searching for the associates of Amit Dahiya, who was killed July 22 during a shootout at village Sannoth in west Delhi's Narela.
Amit Dahiya had reached the site of the shootout along with the arrested accused after robbing at gunpoint a Ford Endeavour car near Sachdeva Public School in Rohini, northwest Delhi, the police said.
