Two people, one of them a lawyer, were arrested here Wednesday on a minor girl's complaint that she was kept captive and repeatedly raped for several months, police said.
"We have arrested two people in connection with the case today (Wednesday)," Joint Commissioner (Crime) P.K. Ghosh said.
The minor had left her family some time ago and was living with a woman who allegedly subjected her to sexual exploitation, the girl said in her complaint. She has in her police complaint named three people, of whom two are lawyers.
The lawyers have been suspended from the Sealdah Court Bar Association.
