'Neram' heads to Bollywood

Debutant director Alphonse Putharen, who impressed with his simple yet quirky narration in Tamil-Malayalam bilingual "Neram", will soon remake the film in Hindi.

"I plan to direct the Hindi version as well, but at the moment we are in talks with few producers who have expressed interest in the remake. I have few actors that I would like to cast, but can't divulge information with regards to it," film's director Alphonse told IANS.

"We are likely to hear from the producers soon and only after that will I know when the remake will go on the floors," he added.

Made on a shoestring budget of Rs.1.5 crore, the film, featuring debutants Nivin Pauly and Nazriya Nizam in the lead roles, released May 17 and still running to packed houses. The premise of the story is that there are good and bad times in our lives and that both have important parts to play.

"Neram" also features a host of other actors such as John Vijay, Simhaa, Nassar, Thambi Ramaiah, among many more.
