Nine people were killed and three others injured when a dilapidated house collapsed on Thursday in Uttar Pradesh, police said.
The incident took place in Banda, 200 km from here, and the injured were admitted to a nearby medical facility where the condition of two was stated to be critical.
The station house officer of Atarra police station told IANS that more than a dozen people were trapped in the rubble after the house collapsed.
Senior district officials have rushed to the spot of mishap.
The villagers have accused the local municipal corporation of not acting on their complaints about the dilapidated condition of the house.
