Nine new trains for Tamil Nadu

Tamil Nadu gets nine new trains out of the 72 announced by Railway Minister Mallikarjun Kharge in the interim budget for the next fiscal presented in parliament Wednesday.

The weekly Kamakhya-Chennai AC Express via Malda, Howrah and the Thiruvananthapuram-Bangalore (Yesvantpur) Express (Bi-weekly) via Erode, Tirupattur are the two premiums train announced by Kharge -- the others are express and passenger trains.

The new express and passenger trains announced in the interim budget for Tamil Nadu are:

Bangalore-Chennai Express (Daily) via Bangarpet, Jolarpettai.

Mannargudi-Jodhpur Express (Weekly) via, Jaipur.

Mumbai-Chennai Express (Weekly) via Pune, Gulbarga, Wadi.
