Five fresh cases of swine flu were reported in the national capital Tuesday, taking the figure to nine this year, health officials said.
According to the health department, the samples of two men and three women were confirmed at the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) Friday.
The number of swine flu cases in the capital has now reached 49 since last year.
"Among the female patients, the samples of a 31-year-old from Mehrauli, a 44-year-old from Sagarpur and a 38-year old from Mansaram Park were confirmed," health department official Charan Singh told IANS.
He said while two of the women were being treated at the Ram Manohar Lohia hospital, the woman from Sagarpur was admitted to a private hospital.
A 50-year-old man from Preet Vihar and a 42-year-old from Uttam Nagar were undergoing medication at home, the official said.
