The Defence Ministry has not decided whether Goa will host the Defence Expo (Defexpo) India, 2018, Union Minister of State for Defence Subhash Bhamre said on Monday.
When asked if the Defexpo, which was relocated to Goa for the first time in 2016, would be held in the coastal state again in 2018 and if Goa would be made a permanent venue for the event, Bhamre said: "The decision is yet to be taken. We will let you know".
The Defexpo India is held every two years. Goa was made the official venue for the year 2016, when now Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar was holding the reigns of the Defence Ministry.
The state government had then said the event could be hosted in Goa on a permanent basis, if the 2016 edition was a success.
