The Union government on Tuesday appointed Sanjay Roy, Director (Media) in the Home Ministry's Jammu and Kashmir Division as the nodal officer for grievances relating to Jammu and Kashmir's people.
The decision to nominate Roy was taken days after Home Minister Rajnath Singh announced the measure in Srinagar during his recent visit.
"The Ministry of Home Affairs has nominated Sanjay Roy, Director (Media) in Jammu and Kashmir Division as the nodal officer for grievances relating to Jammu and Kashmir persons, particularly students residing outside the state," an official statement said.
The grievances can be reported round-the-clock on phone numbers: 011-23092923 and 011-23092885, it said.
