The Rajasthan Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) on Thursday arrested a man here for spreading ideology of Islamic State (IS), officials said.
Mohammad Sirazuddin, an employee of a public sector oil company, hails from Karnataka, Additional Director General of Police (ATS) Alok Tripathi told IANS.
"Sirazuddin was residing in Jawahar Nagar area of Jaipur and was working as a marketing manager in an oil PSU," Tripathi said.
Tripathi said the ATS after detailed investigation has found that Sirazuddin with the help of internet was propagating and spreading ideology of IS and was influencing or motivating others to become its members.
The ATS official said Sirazuddin created groups on WhatsApp, Facebook and other social media platforms to spread the jihadi ideologies of IS.
