One more man was arrested Monday for his involvement in the sensational Rs.7.69-crore heist in the capital, taking the total number of arrests to five, police said.

"Ajay, in his early 20s, was arrested from south Delhi early this morning (Monday)," a police officer told IANS.

Four people have been arrested so far and a juvenile, suspected to be the mastermind behind the heist, has been detained.

Police said they were still investigating the source of money.

A group of people robbed Rs.7.69 crore cash from businessman Rajesh Kalra near Lajpat Nagar in south Delhi and hijacked the car in which he was going with four other employees Jan 28.

Kalra was arrested in 2000 for his links with bookies and was charged in a match-fixing case involving then South African cricket captain Hansie Cronje, police said.

Police said the complainant Rakesh Kumar Sharma, who is also a business partner of Kalra, said he was travelling in his Honda City car with the money kept in five bags when the robbers waylaid them.

According to a police officer, the actual amount was Rs.4.69 crore but the police complaint mentioned Rs.7.69 crore.

Sources said police Monday questioned Sharma for hiding information about the correct amount of money.

Police said there were three more people involved the case.
