Another person was arrested on Saturday in connection with a recent brawl at a bar here in which a middle-aged man died and two were left injured.
"We have arrested one more person in connection with the incident. The investigation is on," police said.
This was the second arrest in the shootout incident where 30-35 bullets were fired and some bombs hurled by miscreants early Thursday in Haridevpur area. Initially, one person was detained.
According to police, the brawl occurred when bouncers at the bar got into a heated argument with some unidentified people after midnight as the latter refused to pay for the bar services. The free-trippers soon left but returned later with others and opened indiscriminate firing.
During the brawl, a stray bullet hit a nearby pedestrian who was declared dead on reaching hospital. Two others were injured in the incident.
