Former Manchester United striker Dwight Yorke on Thursday put FC Barcelona's historic 6-1 comeback win against Paris Saint Germain (PSG) in the Champions League round of 16 tie as one of the best matches he has ever seen.
Barcelona, trailing 0-4 after the first leg in Paris, scored six times in front of their home crowd -- including a strike by Sergi Roberto five minutes into second half injury time -- to seal a 6-5 aggregate win.
"Amazing game," Yorke told IANS over phone.
"This is one of the best games I have ever seen. To have turned that around, (pauses) wow!" the 45-year-old from Trinidad and Tobago said.
Yorke was part of the fabled United side which turned the tables on Bayern Munich during the 1999 Champions League final by scoring two stoppage time goals to cancel out Bayern's early lead.
United had won the English Premier League, English FA Cup and Champions League that year under Sir Alex Ferguson.
On Wednesday night, Barcelona became the first team in Champions League history to overcome a 0-4 first-leg deficit and with a 6-1 win on the night which handed them a 6-5 aggregate win.
The Spanish giants had opened up a 3-0 lead but their chances of reaching the quarter-finals appeared to have gone up in smoke after Uruguayan striker Edinson Cavani scored for PSG just after the hour mark.
That left the hosts needing three goals to qualify. But the game saw a grand stand finish with Barcelona scoring thrice in the last seven minutes to turn things around.
Neymar started the comeback by scoring twice before Roberto struck right at the end as Barcelona achieved a near impossible task to leave the footballing fraternity flabbergasted.
