Commercial organizations need to be more innovative and resilient, Paul Thomas, founder and director, DNA Definitive said here Wednesday adding that change is a challenge for organizations and teams across the world.

Thomas was speaking at the "4th Regional Conference on Infrastructure Management" organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry.

Echoing the same note, Yashpal Garg, executive director, Delhi State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (DSIIDC) said the corporate sector needs to embrace change and keep it in mind while policies and infrastructure projects are being designed.

He also spoke about the challenges faced by the public sector in developing infrastructure projects and how private partnerships can help resolve those.

Garg also added that the government must be flexible to change the terms of the projects.

Arjun Wallia, chairman, CII Delhi State Council advised building resilient and adaptable business structures that can ensure mitigation of risks. He said this can only happen with the support of the people in an organization.

Rajesh Pandit, head-asset services India, CBRE South Asia said the immediate environment in which an industry operated affects all stakeholders equally. He said long standing issues as well as challenges, need to be tackled shouldering equal responsibility.

"If our individual businesses are to succeed, it is imperative that we all plan ahead together," he added.
