Nestle India on Friday said the response Maggi noodles received in the country after its re-launch earlier this week was "overwhelming" and that over 2.5 crore packs of noodles were supplied in the first four days.
"Maggi noodles has been loved and trusted by all members of the family for over three decades. We have already supplied almost 2.5 crore packs in the first four days of roll out," a Nestle India spokesperson told IANS.
The spokesperson also said as the consumer response was "overwhelming", the company was ramping up operations as rapidly as possible.
Nestle India re-launched its marquee product Maggi noodles on Monday after a five-month long ban by India's food regulator due to alleged high levels of lead and Monosodium Glutamate (MSG).
