The Indo-Zimbabwean pair, who were seeded fourth, went down 6-1, 2-6 and 3-6 to Eric Butorac of the US and his Hungarian partner Timea in the second round.
The other Indian in fray, Rohan Bopanna's second round mixed doubles clash was cancelled.A BopannaA and Ahis Czech partner Andrea Hlavackova, seeded seventh, will face the British pair of Colin Fleming and Jocelyn.
