Nepal's new Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Parchanda' received a ceremonial welcome here at Rashtrapati Bhawan on Friday. He is in India on a four-day state visit.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi received Parchanda at Rashtrapati Bhawan.
"Ceremonial honours for a neighbour! PM Nnarendra Modi receives Nepal PM Pushpa Dahal 'Prachanda' on his state visit," Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson, Vikas Swarup tweeted.
Dahal had arrived in Delhi on Thursday.
Prachanda, who was elected as the Prime Minister on August 4, has come to India on the invitation of Modi. He is accompanied by his wife Sita Dahal.
