Actor Pawan Shankar, who has appeared in TV shows like "Siddhanth", "Vicky Ki Taxi" and "Kya Hua Tera Vaada", says for now he is putting his acting career on hold and focussing on being an educationist.

The actor turned into an entrepreneur with his company Educationista. His company got the Indian Award For Excellence 2016 for being the fastest growing company in the education sector.

"Acting is my passion and I will never be further from it. In fact, I feel sad when I turn down offers as I am busy with Educationista's Prestigious School Fairs till January. Post that you will see me on television again," Pawan told IANS.

Currently, the actor is busy with Prestigious Schools Exhibition -- a platform for school children which organises school fairs in Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Chhattisgarh among others.

His next exhibition will be held in Thane, followed by Worli and Goregaon in Mumbai and then Coimbatore, Kanpur, Pune, Raipur and Nagpur.

The actor said: "In today's time, thanks to the exposure to gadgets and technology, children begin to show their aptitudes early on and I am looking at an environment conducive to hone their skills."

Shankar, an MBA in finance from the Institute of Management Technology (IMT), Ghaziabad and former national champion in table tennis India, has also starred in over 50 advertisements.
