Sao Paulo have signed Peru international midfielder Christian Cueva, the Brazilian club has said.
Cueva, 24, joins the six-time Brazilian Serie A champions on a four-year deal from Mexico's Toluca, according to a Sao Paulo statement on Thursday, Xinhua news agency reported.
No financial details were given.
Cueva will join his new club after the Copa America at the end of June.
"He is a young player in Peru's national team who has performed well at an international level," Sao Paulo football director Gustavo Vieira de Oliveira said.
"His characteristics were analysed and approved by our technical department. He can dribble and he is quick."
Cueva has been capped 22 times for Peru since his international debut in 2011.
