Pipavav Railway's traffic revenue up 30 percent

The Pipavav Railway Corporation, Indian Railways joint venture company with Gujarat Pipavav Port, Thursday reported a 30 percent rise in its total traffic revenue for 2013-14.

According to the company, it earned a net profit of about Rs.80.78 crore and a total traffic revenue of Rs.232 crore during fiscal 2013-14

"This has also improved the net worth of the company from Rs.202 crore to Rs.272 crore," Railways said in a statement.

The earning per share of the company to went up and stood at Rs.4.12 from the previous year's Rs. 2.37.

The company declared an interim dividend of Rs.2 per share out of its profits amounting to a total of Rs.40 crore.
