Plane with nine people crash in Bahamas

Madrid, Nov 10 (IANS/EFE) All nine people aboard a private aircraft were killed Monday when it crashed on the island of Grand Bahama in northern Bahamas.

Those aboard were travelling to the island to attend a religious conference, according to sources quoted by a local agency.

Heavy rain had forced other flights to detour the area.

The two regular domestic flights of Bahamasair aborted their landings for the same reason.
