Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday paid tribute to the nation's second President, Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, on the occasion of Teachers' Day and saluted the dedication and commitment of all teachers.
"Happy Teachers' Day! India salutes the dedication and commitment of all teachers, whose role in nation building is paramount," said Modi.
"Tributes to Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, a scholar, statesman and a respected teacher who shaped many minds and served India," Modi said.
Remembering the great educationist of the country, he exhorted the students: "How has your teacher influenced you? Share your anecdote and read what many others have written about their teachers."
