The Delhi High Court was on Friday told by the Delhi Commission for Women that file of the complaint against AAP leader Kumar Vishwas filed by a volunteer has been closed and and police was given instruction to further probe the case and take action as per law.
Justice V.P. Vaish was informed by the women's panel that proceedings against the Aam Aadmi Party leader have been closed after he failed to appear before it as it heard Vishwas' plea challenging the summons issued to him by the DCW on the complaint of the volunteer who had alleged that her life had been ruined because he refused to deny "rumours" over their alleged affair.
The court now fixed the matter for December 14 and asked Vishwas to file response on the arguments of the DCW.
In the plea, Vishwas had said that the DCW chairperson had issued the summons due to "political vendetta". AAP has termed the allegations levelled by th e woman as "baseless".
The woman, who had taken part in Vishwas' campaign in the Amethi Lok Sabha constituency in the 2014 general election, went public here asking him to deny "rumours" of their al eged affair. She later approached the DCW which summoned Vishwas.
