Pon Radhakrishnan: BJP's sole Tamil Nadu MP becomes minister again (Profile)

Pon Radhakrishnan, the sole BJP MP to win from Tamil Nadu, Monday became a minister in an NDA government again.

Inducted as a minister of state in the Narendra Modi government, the 62-year-old Radhakrishnan was minister of state for youth affairs and sports in the Atal Bihari Vajpayee government. He later was minister of state for urban development and poverty alleviation and road transport and highways.

First elected in 1999 from Tamil Nadu's Nagercoil constituency, Radhakrishnan is a lawyer by profession.
