President Pranab Mukherjee Wednesday congratulated wrestler Sushil Kumar and other sports persons for winning medals at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
An official release said Wednesday that the president sent individual congratulatory messages to Sushil Kumar, Amit Kumar, Vinesh Phogat, Harpreet Singh, Sanjeev Rajput, Rajeev Tomar, Manavjit Sandhu, Gagan Narang, Lajja Gauswami and Chandrakant Mali for winning medals in their respective events Tuesday.
In his message, Mukherjee wished the medal winners continued success in their future endeavours.
"Your success is a matter of pride for all Indians. The country joins your family and you in celebrating this impressive achievement," Mukherjee said.
