President hails Guru Teg Bahadur

President Pranab Mukherjee Sunday greeted the nation on the eve of martyrdom anniversary of Guru Teg Bahadur.

"On the occasion of the observance of the Martyrdom Day of Guru Teg Bahadurji, let us recall his supreme sacrifice and message of love, peace and unity of all communities," Mukherjee said in a statement.

"May his teachings inspire us to work for harmony and integration within our society. Let hatred and violence find no place in our thoughts and may the courage and humanism which Guru Teg Bahadur stood for guide our path always," he said.
