Pointing to the high cost of services, Tamil Nadu Governor K. Rosaiah Wednesday said the professional services industry should be revamped.

He said the sector should leverage technology in a major way.

Launching India's first mobile application for company registration, trademark registration and tax registration developed by IndiaFilings, Rosaiah said: "The professional services industry should be revamped. The cost of imparting professional services is still high in India."

He said that to unlock the potential of millions of young Indian entrepreneurs and help them build the next generation of innovative businesses, it is high time to evolve professional services business with a strong technology support.

"Professional services industry should come forward with latest technologies like cloud computing, mobile application, data analytics to bring about improvement in efficiency, quality and cost reduction for starting and managing a business in India," Rosaiah said.

"Leveraging technology and keeping pace with the changing global scenario will pave the way to starting and managing a business, easy and affordable," he added.

According to IndiaFilings, the mobile application is designed to help entrepreneurs with their business registration, provide alerts on regulatory dues and connect an entrepreneur with financial and legal experts, when required.
